Facer Redesigns Watch Face Store, Adds Timex, Sonic and Angry Birds

Facer redesigned its Android and iOS watch face store, adding curated tabs and Timex, Sonic and Angry Birds partners.

According to Facer, the new interface makes it much easier to access popular watch faces and find the ones that suit users best. New tabs at the top of the store provide access to faces curated for the user, faces made through official brand partnerships, and faces separated by activity or sport. The redesign also gives the store a more colorful look.

Another section is dedicated to watch faces created by independent designers, grouped under 'Facer Originals.' To qualify, creators must apply to a specific program and refrain from making their designs available through other sources, such as the Play Store, according to Android Authority.

Facer is also onboarding new franchise partners, including Timex, Sonic and Angry Birds. The company announced support for Google's Watch Face Format and Wear OS 6 last year, and later extended support to RTOS watches. The store redesign follows those moves.

Facer is one of the largest sources for downloading and installing watch faces for Wear OS and Apple Watch. The redesign applies to its storefront on Android and iOS, the two mobile platforms where the Facer app is available.
