Far Cry Comes to Android Through Sigma Touch Port With Touch and Gamepad Support
Sigma Touch 1.4.2 adds an unofficial Far Cry port to Android, with full touch controls and gamepad support.
The addition arrives in Sigma Touch version 1.4.2 and was made with help from NearChuckle, an open-source port that brought Far Cry to Linux, according to Android Authority. It is an unofficial port, so players must own a copy of the game to use it.
The Far Cry support runs on both 64-bit and 32-bit ARM devices, meaning it can run on older Android hardware. The port includes full touch controls, full gamepad support, custom touch buttons that can be bound through the Controls menu, and a touch keyboard for console and text entry.
Far Cry joins other titles supported by Sigma Touch, including Quake 4, Aliens versus Predator (2000), Unreal Tournament 99 and Unreal 1998. Android Authority said ports of popular PC and console games have been taking off lately, and Far Cry fans on Android can now play the game on their phones.
