Fitbit Edge leaks in images of Google's midrange fitness tracker

Images published by Android Headlines show Google's rumored midrange Fitbit Edge, a tracker positioned between the Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch, reportedly with a seven-day battery and built-in GPS.

The photos show the Edge in several colors and from multiple angles. According to The Verge, it has a small screen capable of displaying some widgets, but the display is clearly less expansive than that of a proper smartwatch, leaving the device between a tracker and a full smartwatch.

The Edge is said to offer a seven-day battery life, built-in GPS and an altimeter, making it considerably more capable than the Air. It will also carry limited app support for services such as Google Maps and YouTube Music. The Verge reported that beyond those details little is known about the device, which had leaked once before.

Fitbit's Charge line was last updated in 2023, so a new midrange tracker is overdue. No price or release date has emerged. The Verge wrote that somewhere in the $150 to $200 range "seems like a safe bet," noting that the Air costs $99.99, the Pixel Watch starts at $399.99, and the Charge 6 currently sells for $159.95.
