GAC Trumpchi Yue 7 Starts Presale From 171,800 Yuan

GAC Motor opened presales for the boxy Trumpchi Yue 7 plug-in hybrid SUV in Guangzhou at 171,800-217,800 yuan.

The four variants have post-benefit presale prices of 171,800 yuan for the two-wheel-drive Pro, 187,800 yuan for the two-wheel-drive Max, 207,800 yuan for the four-wheel-drive Max and 217,800 yuan for the four-wheel-drive Ultra. Before deducting benefits, the official presale range is 179,800 yuan to 225,800 yuan. GAC said buyers can receive benefits worth up to 28,000 yuan, and nationwide test drives began on Sept. 3.

The Yue 7 measures 5,045 mm long, 2,004 mm wide and 1,933 mm tall, with a 2,900-mm wheelbase. Its eight-direction aesthetic design repeats octagonal shapes on the headlights, wheel arches, windows and interior controls. The cabin uses a 1.1-meter panoramic display and a 15.6-inch central screen, powered by Qualcomm's 8838 cockpit platform. The ADiGO GSD 3.0 driving-assistance system uses 27 sensors and supports navigation-assisted driving on city roads, highways and unpaved roads; the four-wheel-drive Ultra trim adds a 192-line lidar.

The interior reaches 81 percent usable space, with a 170-mm second-row electric slide and up to 1,015 mm of rear legroom. The front seats can be adjusted together with the rear seats to form a 1.9-meter flat bed in one step. Higher trims add heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, a 20-speaker audio system, a 5.7-liter cooler/warmer box, double-glazed windows, closed twin-chamber air springs and continuously variable damping, with one-button raising and leveling for the air suspension.

All versions use GAC's plug-in hybrid system, combining a 1.5T hybrid-specific engine with a GMC 3.0 transmission. Four-wheel-drive versions add a rear motor for a combined peak output of 550 kW and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. A 46-kWh CATL battery provides up to 261 km of CLTC electric range, while combined range reaches 1,352 km. Charging from 30 to 80 percent takes 15 minutes, and the minimum WLTC fuel consumption in battery-depletion mode is 6.21 L/100 km.

For off-road use, the Yue 7 has approach and departure angles of 30 and 33 degrees, normal ground clearance of 230 mm that can rise to 310 mm with the air suspension, and 780 mm of wading depth. Four-wheel-drive trims come with two mechanical locking differentials plus an energy center lock, an AI all-terrain system with nine selectable modes and an adaptive mode, and underbody battery protection that uses a 1,300 MPa steel shield.

The vehicle is also designed for outdoor use with 37 prewired expansion interfaces, 38 interior storage points and dual 220-volt power sockets. GAC said validation included 685 physical test cars and extreme-condition testing, with the SUV completing a single-vehicle durability test equivalent to 500,000 km. Before the formal launch, the early-buyer program had already generated more than 15,000 orders. GAC plans to offer the Yue 7 in more than 100 countries and regions.
