Galaxy S25's One UI 9 Beta 2 brings features from Galaxy S26 and Z Fold 8

The update, firmware version S93xNKSUCZZI4, is 643.16MB in size and is available for the Galaxy S25, S25 Plus and S25 Ultra in South Korea. Other beta markets are expected to get it shortly, Android Authority reported.

Samsung's official changelog only mentions "new AI features," but SamMobile, as cited by Android Authority, identifies four: Call Brief, Custom Cards in Now Brief, Now Nudge and My FanCam.

Call Brief surfaces relevant information and events during phone calls. Custom Cards allow users to construct personalized Now Brief updates using data from Samsung Health, Weather and YouTube, with controls over when they appear. Now Nudge reads on-screen activity and suggests a helpful next step, such as opening the calendar when a conversation turns to scheduling. My FanCam can identify a person in an existing video, follow them and reframe the footage to keep them centered.

The update also addresses Bixby Vision translation errors, temporary Contacts app crashes and Wi-Fi connection drops, according to Android Authority.

Samsung has not yet released a stable version of Android 17 to an older Galaxy device, although several Galaxy S, Z and A models are in testing. The arrival of a second S25 beta just a week after the first does not guarantee an imminent stable release, but indicates Samsung is moving the program forward, Android Authority noted.

Enrolled users can check for the update under Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
