Galaxy S27 Ultra Leak Points to New 200MP Sensor and a Possible End to 3x Zoom
A new leak reported by Android Authority says the Galaxy S27 Ultra may switch to a 200MP ISOCELL HP6 main sensor for warmer colors and better highlight control, while dropping its dedicated 3x telephoto camera.
The sensor is described as a 200MP ISOCELL HP6, based on a Samsung HPC sensor equipped with DeepPix technology. According to the report, that hardware could produce warmer colors, cleaner shadows, better control of highlights, and improved dynamic range when shooting in difficult lighting.
The same leak indicates Samsung may remove the dedicated 3x telephoto camera from the S27 Ultra. Without that lens, the phone would move directly from 1x to 5x zoom, leaving a gap in the middle range that the current setup covers optically.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra has not been announced, and Samsung has not commented on the claims. The leak follows a period in which Google, Apple, and several Chinese brands have already shown their latest flagship phones, while Samsung users continue to wait for the Galaxy S27 series. Reports about the S27 Ultra have already circulated, including a substantially reworked camera area and earlier indications of meaningful imaging upgrades.
Much of the new detail comes from veteran Samsung tipster Ice Universe, who claims the Galaxy S27 Ultra produces noticeably warmer photos than the Galaxy S26 Ultra, a shift away from Samsung's cooler color tuning. The leaker also says Samsung has improved highlight control, particularly for small, bright objects such as illuminated signs or distant lights. Where the S26 Ultra can blow out those details, the S27 Ultra reportedly preserves more of their shape and color.
