Garmin appears poised to enter smart ring market with 10 certified model numbers
Brazilian certification filings reveal 10 nearly identical Garmin model numbers, indicating the company may be preparing to launch a smart ring in multiple sizes.
The registration was first reported by Gadgets and Wearables. All 10 products carry model numbers including A05124, B05124, C05124, D05124, E05124, F05124, G05124, H05124, I05124, and AA5124. The close similarity of these identifiers indicates the products likely represent 10 different sizes of a single smart ring model.
The development follows a separate appearance last month of a product called the CIRQA Smart Ring on an Indonesian certification database, where it was briefly listed before being removed. Garmin has already entered the screenless fitness tracker category this year with the release of the CIRQA Smart Band. The company now appears to be exploring further new product categories with a potential smart ring.
