Garmin launches Enduro 4 and Approach S72, with Enduro 4 keeping battery life and adding storage
Garmin launched the Enduro 4 and Approach S72, both available in the U.S. from October 9. The Enduro 4 adds doubled storage, faster maps, smarter power modes, and stamina tools while keeping the Enduro 3’s battery ratings and price level, according to Android Authority. The Approach S72 targets serious golfers with swing metrics and upgraded on-course features.
The Enduro 4 remains focused on endurance. Garmin rates it for up to 320 hours of activity tracking with solar charging or as much as 90 days in smartwatch mode under specified sunlight conditions, matching the Enduro 3. The watch uses a 51mm case, a 1.4-inch MIP display, and a Power Sapphire lens. Android Authority reported that Garmin has not moved to an AMOLED screen for this model, preserving battery life rather than prioritizing a brighter display.
Beyond battery life, the Enduro 4 adds faster maps, smarter power modes, and new stamina tools. It also doubles storage compared with the previous generation. Garmin’s Enduro line is built around the idea that a smartwatch should not die during an ultramarathon or a multi-day trip. The Enduro 3, released in 2024, used solar charging and battery life measured in weeks rather than days, and the Enduro 4 continues that approach.
The Approach S72 is positioned for golfers. According to Android Authority, it includes swing metrics, biometric insights, and upgraded on-course features. The report did not detail specific pricing for either watch, but said the Enduro 4 does not push the price higher than the Enduro 3.
Both watches are set for U.S. availability from October 9. The Enduro 4’s main changes are internal and functional rather than a redesign: more storage, faster mapping, power-management options, and stamina tools, alongside the same long battery ratings as the Enduro 3. The Approach S72 extends Garmin’s golf-focused lineup with performance and health data for players who want more information during a round.
