Garmin Launches MARQ 3 Series, Six Luxury Smartwatches Starting at $2,500
Garmin has launched the MARQ 3 series of luxury smartwatches, comprising six models — Adventurer, Athlete, Aviator, Commander, Diver and Golfer — with prices starting at $2,500 and new mapping, inReach and health features.
The lineup comprises the MARQ Adventurer, MARQ Athlete, MARQ Aviator, MARQ Commander, MARQ Diver and MARQ Golfer, a set of names the outlet describes as covering different lifestyles.
The new collection adds navigation capabilities including preloaded worldwide mapping and address search. Garmin has also built in inReach connectivity for communication away from cellular coverage, a speaker and microphone, and an LED flashlight.
Health and wellness tracking carried over to the new generation includes stress monitoring, sleep tracking, pulse oximetry and heart rate variability, alongside other insights, Android Authority reported.
The launch follows the company's work on a successor to the MARQ Gen 2. Details of the new generation surfaced in an online leak a day before the release, but Garmin went ahead with the rollout the following day.
The Android Authority report did not list prices for individual models, provide market-by-market availability dates, or detail the full specifications of the six watches.
