Geely Galaxy Battleship 700 Opens Pre-sales From 199,800 Yuan, Tops Out at 1,129 hp

Geely opened pre-sales for the Galaxy Battleship 700 in China on Sept. 15, 2026, with prices from 199,800 yuan to 389,800 yuan. The new energy off-road SUV offers up to 1,129 hp and uses an integrated ladder frame embedded in a load-bearing body.

ifanr reported that the lineup has six versions. The 305-km 1.5T two-wheel-drive Explore is priced at 199,800 yuan; the Explore+ at 209,800 yuan; the 280-km 1.5T tri-motor four-wheel-drive Yufeng at 229,800 yuan; the Yufeng+ at 239,800 yuan; and the 270-km 2.0T tri-motor four-wheel-drive Dingfeng at 269,800 yuan. The Land Ark Edition costs 389,800 yuan and is limited to 700 units, adding emergency floating escape, active hydraulic suspension, diffuse oxygen supply and low-Earth-orbit satellite communication. Pre-sales buyers can use a 1,000-yuan deposit to offset 5,000 yuan and receive an 8,000-yuan modification voucher.

The Galaxy Battleship 700 measures 5,085 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,912 mm tall, with a 2,900-mm wheelbase and five seats. All versions use CATL 6C fast-charging cells, a 47.14-kWh battery and an 80-liter fuel tank. Geely says the maximum combined range reaches 1,770 km. The Explore and Explore+ versions use 1.5T two-wheel-drive powertrains with 305 km of CLTC electric range and are positioned as urban hardcore SUVs for lighter off-road use; Geely lists low-charge fuel consumption in the 5-liter-per-100-km range.

The Yufeng and Yufeng+ move to a 1.5T tri-motor four-wheel-drive system with 280 km of CLTC electric range and a 0-100 km/h time of 4.2 seconds. They offer a Waltz turn function, an AI intelligent all-terrain mode and Qianli Haohan driver assistance. The Leishen EM-T plug-in hybrid system integrates the engine, electric motors, hybrid transmission and four-wheel-drive control. The Yufeng uses one front P3 drive motor and two independent rear P4 motors. The rear motors can adjust left and right wheel output separately, and the system distributes torque between the front and rear axles and between the rear wheels based on wheel slip. Geely calls this electronic torque distribution two soft locks.

The Dingfeng replaces the 1.5T engine with a 2.0T off-road engine and adds a P1 generator, a P3 front drive motor, two P4 rear motors and a three-speed DHT. The P1 motor generates electricity while the three drive motors provide four-wheel-drive output. System combined power reaches 830 kW, or 1,129 hp, with a 0-100 km/h time of 3.95 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h. At full charge, the engine and motors can output in parallel; at lower charge, the engine can feed the three drive motors through the P1 motor. The three-speed DHT is intended to keep the engine in efficient ranges during low-speed off-roading, city driving and highway cruising.

The Dingfeng also adds a mechanical rear differential lock. When a wheel is airborne or the vehicle faces a severe cross-axle situation, the mechanical lock can lock both sides of the rear axle and, together with the two soft locks formed by the tri-motor system, send power to wheels with traction. Geely says single-wheel torque can be amplified by up to 200 percent to 9,000 N·m. The Dingfeng comes standard with the rear mechanical differential lock, dual-chamber air suspension, wading sensing, Qianli Haohan H7 and satellite communication. The Land Ark Edition focuses more on extreme off-road use, with emergency floating escape for deep-water emergencies, active hydraulic suspension for active obstacle climbing and bouncing out, diffuse oxygen supply for high-altitude areas and low-Earth-orbit satellite communication for remote areas.

Inside, the Galaxy Battleship 700 keeps a physical gear lever and an off-road control island on the front console, with terrain modes placed within reach of the driver. The center console uses a symmetrical horizontal layout, and high-contact areas are covered with soft trim, suede and wood. All seats have ventilation and heating, and the front seats offer 14-point hip-and-back massage. The second-row seats can fold to create a nearly flat bed about 1.8 meters long, with a seated height of 950 mm.

The headline technical feature is the GTA native new-energy off-road architecture. It embeds an integrated ladder frame directly into the load-bearing body, forming a continuous force path from the front longitudinal beam through the body floor beams to the rear longitudinal beam, connected to a body structure described as six horizontal, seven longitudinal and eight ring sections. Geely announced torsional rigidity of 44,000 N·m/deg, and says the integrated ladder frame material is more than 30 percent stronger than a traditional ladder frame. The design releases 80 mm longitudinally in the chassis, gives the battery pack a base ground clearance of 313 mm, and allows up to 360 mm with the air suspension raised. Air-suspension versions have maximum approach and departure angles of 33 and 34 degrees. With the ladder frame tucked into the body, the vehicle can have a flat threshold and flat floor, returning vertical space to the cabin and off-road capability.

Geely also equips the vehicle with an AI all-terrain digital chassis. On unpaved roads, it uses cameras, wheel speed, steering angle, body attitude and wheel slip information to judge conditions, then coordinates drive, braking, differential locks and suspension. The AI intelligent all-terrain mode can identify surfaces and switch control strategies automatically, which Geely says helps drivers with less off-road experience. For safety, the vehicle has 11 hot-gas expansion tubes in the A, B, C and D pillars, upper side beams and rear roof crossmember, totaling 10.6 meters, forming an embedded roll cage. Geely lists roof compression strength of 16 tonnes and a rollover resistance index of 1.236. The 2.0T four-wheel-drive version has a maximum wading depth of 800 mm and IPX8 water resistance. Satellite communication is standard on the Dingfeng, while the Land Ark Edition adds emergency floating escape, diffuse oxygen supply and low-Earth-orbit satellite communication.

Geely is also offering a roof tent option. With the vehicle's dual-opening panoramic sunroof, users can enter the tent directly through the sunroof. The roof rack has a static load rating of 300 kg and a dynamic load rating of 150 kg. ifanr noted that Xiaomi's Pengcheng N90 Max Explore recently brought a native electric lifting roof cabin to a standalone model; it adds 100 mm to vehicle height when closed and creates about 2 square meters of upper space when raised, with lighting, air-conditioning vents and charging ports built into the roof. The earlier Xiangjie G9 offered a Z-shaped electric roof tent as a 19,800-yuan factory accessory connected to the vehicle's power supply and infotainment system, also allowing occupants to enter from inside. After refrigerators, screens and seats became common family SUV features, automakers are looking upward to create camping space with lifting roofs or roof tents.
