Geely Galaxy Warship 700 Goes on Sale From 169,800 Yuan With Hybrid Off-Road Focus
Geely launched the Galaxy Warship 700, its first new-energy hardcore SUV, in Hangzhou on Oct 10, offering three powertrains and six variants at a limited-time launch price from 169,800 yuan.
The model is aimed at both off-road enthusiasts and family users, combining the GTA native hardcore architecture, the Thor EM-T plug-in hybrid system and an AI all-terrain mode. Geely says all versions come with a 47 kWh battery using CATL cells and support peak 6C fast charging. The 2.0T top version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.95 seconds, and the line-up's maximum combined range is 1,770 km. The starting figure is a limited-time launch price; purchase tax, insurance and trade-in subsidies are announced separately, and the final price depends on the variant and eligibility.
On structure, the Warship 700 uses the GTA architecture that embeds an integrated ladder frame into the body shell. Geely says the structure is more than 30 percent stronger than a conventional ladder frame, with torsional rigidity above 44,000 N·m per degree. The chassis offers air suspension, CCD continuously variable damping and an AI predictive magic carpet system. Geely lists a moose test result of 80 km/h on road and 72.1 km/h on sand. Space utilization in the cabin is 80.3 percent, with a 1.8-metre flat rest area and a 1,050-litre trunk.
The hybrid system uses three electric motors, and the tri-motor all-wheel-drive version produces 1,129 hp. For off-road use, Geely says the vehicle uses tri-motor decoupling with two intelligent software locks and one mechanical hard lock, supporting millisecond-level slip control and four-wheel torque distribution. The rear mechanical differential lock engages within 200 milliseconds, and single-wheel torque can be multiplied to 9,000 N·m. Geely says the vehicle climbed the Nisanguo sand slope in the Badain Jaran desert with five people aboard, from a standing start and without a run-up. Minimum fuel consumption with a depleted battery is 5 litres per 100 km, and charging from 10 to 70 percent takes as little as 8 minutes 25 seconds. These figures correspond to different powertrain versions.
Intelligent functions cover urban driving assistance and off-road control. The AI all-terrain mode identifies terrain and switches modes, and a one-button climb function engages low-range four-wheel drive automatically. For city use, Geely lists the Qianli Hanhai H7 system and G-ASD capabilities including door-to-door driving and parking, remote parking, and in-cabin Super Eva for trip planning and interaction.
For safety, Geely describes a cage structure with six transverse, seven longitudinal and eight ring sections. The occupant cell is made entirely of ultra-high-strength steel and hot-formed steel, the hidden roll bar is 10.6 metres long, roof crush capacity is 161 kN, and the static rollover resistance index is 1.236. At the launch event Geely demonstrated deep-water floating escape and the climbing function, and said it would open the emergency floating escape patent for free, with use subject to trigger conditions and operating requirements.
The Warship 700 adds a new-energy hardcore SUV to the Galaxy line-up. Actor Nicholas Tse appeared at the event as global ambassador. Purchase benefits run from Oct 10 to Oct 31 and require a locked order, full payment and vehicle delivery by Oct 31: a 6,000 yuan purchase tax cash subsidy, a 4,000 yuan insurance cash subsidy, and a 10,000 yuan trade-in subsidy regardless of brand. Presale benefits including an intelligent refrigerator, CCD suspension, a Flyme Sound 23-speaker system and modification vouchers remain available, with official rules governing their scope.
Leiphone said Geely's definition of a new-energy hardcore SUV now covers power, chassis, intelligent control and family use. Whether the Warship 700 turns those specifications into a coordinated and easy-to-use vehicle will be the key test in the market.
