Gemini Notebook becomes a Connected App in Gemini chats

Gemini Notebook is now a Connected App in Gemini, allowing users to manage and query notebooks from chats.

The integration is available to all Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users with personal Google accounts, according to Android Authority. To use it, users type @Gemini Notebook into a chat. From there, they can create new notebooks, add sources, save notes, and access information from an existing notebook.

Connected Apps are services integrated with Gemini that users can access during a conversation. Recent additions cited by Android Authority include Peloton, SeatGeek and Airtable. The report said Google is continuing to add such apps.

Gemini Notebook was previously called NotebookLM, according to the report. The Connected App lets users manage and query notebooks inside Gemini chats rather than moving to a separate interface, the report said.
