Gentler Streak and The Outsiders Add Siri AI and Onscreen Awareness in iOS 27 Updates
Gentler Streak and The Outsiders add Siri AI, onscreen awareness, and AI workout titles in their iOS 27 updates.
Both apps also support Siri’s new onscreen awareness, which lets the assistant understand what a user is looking at inside the app and provide context about workout summaries, health charts and other training data. Katarina Lotrič, CEO of Gentler Stories, said the feature turns Siri into an always available guide that can help users understand the app and their training better.
For Siri queries, users need to include the app name. In Gentler Streak, they can ask about today’s workouts, activity status, Go Gentler daily workout suggestions, daily body metrics or last night’s sleep. In The Outsiders, they can ask about training readiness, today’s workouts, daily body metrics or last night’s sleep data.
The update also introduces an on-device, AI-powered workout title suggestion feature. It offers more descriptive names for recorded workouts while still allowing users to choose their own titles.
Gentler Streak and The Outsiders also receive refreshed app icons that adopt the Liquid Glass look alongside their interfaces. The apps now automatically adjust to fit any screen size or position, making them iPhone Duo-ready and better adapted to different iPad window sizes, according to 9to5Mac.
