GM to Bring Apple Wallet Car Keys to Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC
GM is rolling out Apple Wallet car keys for Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC, with nine models due by year-end.
The automaker recently announced the long-awaited rollout, which Apple first mentioned in June 2025, 9to5Mac reported. GM said a very limited rollout began in late September, is expanding through October, and will reach more vehicles in December.
The Cadillac models named in GM's announcement are the 2027 Vistiq, the 2026-2027 Optiq, the 2025-2027 Lyriq, the 2027 Escalade and the 2027 Escalade IQ/IQL. Chevrolet's 2026-2027 Suburban and Tahoe and GMC's 2026-2027 Yukon and Yukon XL are also included. All are scheduled to launch before year's end.
9to5Mac described the planned support across those models as one of the broadest car-key expansions of late. MacRumors spotted GM's announcement, 9to5Mac reported.
GM also said the rollout will continue across additional GM vehicles over time. When a vehicle adds car-key support, customers will be notified in the "What's New" section of their vehicle's app, the company said.
