Gong adds auto-enrichment and event-driven agents to its revenue intelligence platform

Gong has launched Mission Callisto, which pulls third-party account and contact data into its Revenue Graph, and added Deep Mode research plus event-driven custom agents. Most features are available now; triggered agents arrive later this year.

Gong said the updates address a problem facing revenue teams: customer conversations and sales activity supply useful context but do not necessarily contain the current contact information and account details sellers need to reach prospects, while missing or outdated records limit what AI assistants and agents can access. Gong Enrich adds data that may not exist in either the Revenue Graph or customer relationship management records, said Eilon Reshef, the company's co-founder and chief product officer.

"By bringing information from multiple third-party data providers directly into Gong, teams can fill those gaps and give Gong's AI and agents a more complete picture of every account and contact," Reshef said.

Customers can connect to supported data providers and set the order in which Gong queries them; if one provider cannot supply the requested information, Gong moves to the next on the list. Existing subscriptions and credits can be used, with Gong Credits spent to fill gaps. Named partners include ZenLeads, Inc., which does business as Apollo, LeadIQ Inc., Lusha Systems Inc., RocketReach LLC and ZoomInfo Technologies Inc.

Sellers can fill missing contact details with a click, and teams can automate enrichment when specified conditions occur, such as a bounced email triggering a search for updated information. Administrators choose data partners, exclude selected geographies and decide whether incoming information fills empty CRM fields or replaces existing values. Gong also identifies the source for most contact details and allows that information to be passed into the CRM.

Those controls have limits. Reshef said Gong relies on providers' representations about opt-out and suppression requirements, does not independently verify each contact's opt-out status and does not guarantee every data point's accuracy. Customers remain responsible for how they use the information, including outreach.

A second change adds automatic triggers to custom agents. Gong distinguishes Agent Builder, which creates workflows specific to a customer's business, from Agent Studio, where customers configure Gong's prebuilt agents. "The biggest change is that those agents can now be event-driven rather than relying on someone to manually trigger them," Reshef said.

For example, an agent could respond to a change in the status of an enterprise deal by analyzing relevant calls against a company's risk criteria, summarizing its findings and writing next steps to the CRM. Customers can define triggers, conditions and actions through a visual editor or natural-language instructions, then reuse company-specific expertise across agents.

Deep Mode is aimed at strategic questions requiring broader investigation than Gong Assistant's existing Quick Mode, such as a revenue leader asking what is driving enterprise deal risk during a quarter and what the team should change. It can clarify the scope of a question, plan an investigation and examine deals, conversations, accounts and other signals over time, potentially identifying recurring security concerns in stalled deals and surfacing supporting conversations. "Deep Mode is for bigger strategic questions that require broader analysis, synthesis across multiple signals, and a complete, sourced report," Reshef said.

The dashboard expansion lets teams define metrics once in Gong Data Studio and reuse them across views. Other Assistant updates embed it in deal and account boards and let users create Gong Engage Flows through natural-language requests.

Gong Enrich, Deep Mode and the expanded dashboards are generally available. Automatically triggered custom agents and the other Assistant enhancements will roll out later this year, according to SiliconANGLE.

Editor's Summary

Gong has folded third-party contact and account data into its Revenue Graph through Mission Callisto, added a Deep Mode research capability to Gong Assistant and given custom agents event-based triggers. Enrichment, Deep Mode and the new dashboards are available now, while automatically triggered agents and further Assistant updates are scheduled for later this year. Gong says customers remain responsible for how enriched data is used, and it does not independently verify providers' opt-out status or guarantee data accuracy.
