Good Lock's Nice Shot Module Adds Quick Delete Button for Samsung Screenshots

Samsung's Good Lock Nice Shot module adds a delete button to the screenshot toolbar, letting users remove unwanted shots.

According to Android Authority on Oct. 3, 2026, the tip addresses a common problem for users who rely on gesture controls. The article's writer uses the RegiStar Good Lock module to turn the back of a Samsung phone into a virtual button. On a Galaxy S26 Ultra, the writer set double-tap gestures to take screenshots and triple-tap gestures to toggle the privacy display feature.

Taking screenshots with a back tap is easier than pressing button combinations, but the gesture can be triggered accidentally when the phone is rotated or shifted in the hand. That creates unwanted screenshots in the gallery, which then have to be deleted manually to avoid using storage space. The writer found a fix in another Good Lock module, Nice Shot.

Nice Shot, described as an underrated Good Lock module, changes the default behavior of screenshots and screen recordings on Galaxy phones. One option, Add delete button, places a trash icon on the floating toolbar that appears immediately after a screenshot is taken. When a back-tap gesture triggers an unwanted screenshot, the user can tap the icon to delete it at once.

The delete button can also help when a screenshot does not turn out as intended. If a menu or other content disappears before the capture is complete, the user can remove the image from the floating toolbar instead of opening Gallery. Android Authority notes that deleting a screenshot this way does not send it to Trash; the file is deleted permanently and cannot be restored later.

To enable the option, users open the Good Lock app, which can be downloaded from the Galaxy Store if it is not already installed. They go to the Plugins tab, find Nice Shot, and tap the download icon next to it. After downloading, they tap Nice Shot, flip the toggle at the top to enable the module, and turn on the switch next to Add delete button.

Nice Shot includes several other options for users who take many screenshots or record their screens. Disable crop snapping stops the crop tool from automatically snapping selections, giving users more precise control when including or removing objects from an image. Selfie video options let users customize the selfie video feed during screen recordings; for example, the circular video feed can be doubled in size by enabling Double selfie video size.

Users can also make the background color transparent by enabling the relevant option in Selfie video options. Android Authority cautions that the feature works best when the background is clean and minimal, and that users can enable or disable auto-detection and adjust color-detection sensitivity as needed. Another option automatically puts the phone in Do Not Disturb mode whenever the screen is being recorded, blocking incoming notifications. Users can turn on Do not disturb during screen recording and follow on-screen instructions to enable it.

The article's writer says back-tap screenshots have become a convenient habit over the years. With a quick delete button in the screenshot toolbar, the writer says they can continue using the gesture without worrying about unwanted images cluttering the photo library. Android Authority recommends that users who take many screenshots, whether with back-tap actions or the traditional method, consider enabling the delete button option and other Nice Shot features.
