Google adds direct Google Sites export for interactive Gemini apps
Google now lets users export interactive Gemini apps to Google Sites and publish them without rebuilding.
In a Workspace announcement, Google said the feature covers creations such as calculators, quizzes and dashboards. After an app is ready in Gemini, users select Export > Google Sites. Google then automatically opens a new, private Sites draft with the app already embedded and fully interactive.
Users can customize the surrounding website, add supporting content and publish it for others to use. Google's demonstration showed a team performance dashboard built in Gemini with progress indicators, charts and other interactive elements. Android Authority described examples including a teacher turning a Gemini-generated quiz into a classroom resource and a team sharing an interactive performance dashboard without asking people to dig through a chatbot conversation.
The feature is available now on the web, Android and iOS for eligible Google Workspace, Workspace Individual and personal Google account users, according to Android Authority. The report said it is not reserved for paying Workspace customers.
