Google Clock's timer redesign rolls out with September Android Drop

Google is rolling out a redesigned timer UI for its Clock app, featuring flat numbers, presets, and a grid layout, as part of the September Android Drop.

The new timer UI features flatter numbers without circular backgrounds, quick presets for 1, 5, 10 and 15 minutes, and a relocated start button. Multiple active timers are now displayed in a grid instead of a vertical list.

Previously, the timers tab showed a large card with rounded numbers and a numeric keypad overlay with circular number keys. Users managing multiple timers had to scroll vertically.

The update coincides with other September Android Drop features including Guided Vision for Gemini Live and a Google Messages-Keep crossover.
