Google confirms fix for Pixel 11 Video Boost static noise is on the way
Google has identified a fix for static noise in Pixel 11 videos recorded with Video Boost, with a rollout expected in the coming weeks.
The issue came to light last week when Android Authority reported that a number of Pixel 11 buyers were experiencing static noise in their recordings. Reddit users had flagged that videos captured with Video Boost, a Pixel camera feature that enhances color, lighting, stabilization, and low-light detail, contained unwanted static. Some users attributed the problem to a possible bug in Audio Zoom, a feature that boosts the sound of the zoomed-in subject while reducing background noise.
The exact cause of the static noise has not been disclosed. Google's statement to Android Authority did not specify whether the fix would come via a software update to the Pixel 11 or through an update to the Google Camera app.
