Gemini interactive models expand to Workspace users; new Play Services update adds Googlebooks phone-app access and Ask Play highlights.

The Gemini update brings the ability to generate interactive simulations and models to all Workspace customers, Workspace Individual subscribers, and users who meet the minimum age requirements. The feature, first announced in April, is now available in the Gemini app. Android Authority notes that Gemini is often used to help people understand complex concepts, and having a visual model that can be interacted with is even more helpful than a static image.

In a separate report, Android Authority details the latest Play Services v26.33 and Play Store v52.9, which are the fourth system services updates this month. The headline change is that users on PC and phone will be able to access phone apps from their Googlebooks. This builds on an earlier update that introduced Googlebook multi-device setup during device configuration. With Googlebooks scheduled to launch in September, the updates are seen as groundwork for tighter Android-PC integration.

The Play Store update also expands Ask Play, allowing app and game video highlights to be watched directly within the feature. This follows preparations for image attachments in Ask Play, which could let users use screenshots to find apps and features.

Other changes in the release include developer services for Utilities-related processes across Android devices, new device connectivity features, Wallet tile actions in Onboarding Companion, a Home and Search chip for large-screen devices, improved inline install fallback behavior, curated app bundle suggestions, enhanced Play Protect detection on PC and phone, non-personalized app content in store listings, and audiobook sample clusters on the home page.

Android Authority cautions that these changes may not appear immediately after installing the latest versions. Google often rolls out Play Services and Play Store features gradually, so a changelog entry does not guarantee that a feature is available on a particular device.
