Google Keep may soon let you add to-do lists inside regular notes

Google is developing a feature for Google Keep that lets users create to-do lists within regular notes and convert individual lines into checkboxes, according to Android Authority.

The upcoming change also alters how the checkbox icon works. Currently, tapping the checkbox icon in a regular note converts the entire note into a to-do list, turning every line into a separate checkbox. With the new behavior, the icon would only turn the currently active line into a to-do list item. Users would also be able to convert a to-do line back into regular text using the same icon.

Android Authority said it enabled the feature in Google Keep version 5.26.341.03.90. The feature appears to be working properly already, which suggests Google could roll it out soon. The report comes after Google began rolling out a "Find in note" feature earlier this month. Last month, the publication also reported that Google Keep's toolbar was being redesigned, with the checkbox icon replacing the background color icon.

The ability to mix to-do items with regular notes has been a common request among users. This new feature could make Google Keep a more flexible tool for quick note-taking and task management.
