Google may add read-aloud button to Gemini Daily Brief

The button appears as a floating label reading "Talk through your brief." Tapping it opens the Gemini Live interface and begins reading the daily briefing. The audio works, but the interface is still incomplete: it only displays "Here's what's on your plate today," and repeated taps just show different introductory lines, indicating the feature is a work in progress.

Audio briefings are already possible through Gemini Live, the report notes. The new button would give the capability greater visibility, letting users listen to their updates without first opening Gemini Live and asking it to read the briefing. Google has also been working on other Daily Brief improvements, including customization options and adding it to the At a Glance widget on Pixel phones.
