Google Meet's 'Take notes for me' now produces a one-page Quick notes summary
Google Meet's automatic note-taker now generates a one-page summary of each conversation, displayed in the meeting's Google Doc and emailed to participants.
Quick notes was announced by Google as an extension to Take notes for me in Meet. It offers a high-level summary of the meeting's key highlights, drawn from the discussion and from the notes the video-calling app records during the call.
The underlying feature writes notes automatically, so users can stay more present in virtual meetings rather than typing throughout. It was initially introduced for Workspace accounts, and was recently made available to regular Google users. It has also expanded beyond video calls to in-person meetings and conversations.
Google has not given a date for a wider rollout of Quick notes beyond the change described in the report.
