Google Photos Adds One-Tap Video Editing to the Share Flow
Google Photos now offers one-tap video editing from the share preview, an option previously limited to photos.
The button appears in the bottom right corner of the preview when a user selects a video and taps share. One difference from the photo version of the tool is that edited videos are saved to the user's storage, according to the report.
Google Photos introduced quick edit for images last year. After selecting a picture in the gallery, tapping share brings up the quick edit screen, where a user can crop the photo, enhance it and compare the enhanced version with the original before it is shared. That tool did not cover video until now.
Google has been working on other changes to the app. Evidence reported recently suggests Google Photos could soon allow users to filter images by people and pets within an album. The app may also add new speed options for animations created in Google Photos. Whether those features reach users has not been confirmed.
