Google Photos may soon let users customize the Collections tab, first look shows

Google Photos may let users reorder or hide Collections tab items, offering a first look at the tool.

Android Authority reported that the tool had been known about for close to a month, but it had not been able to get the feature to appear until now. The report described the new interface as a reorganizing tool within Collections, though it did not specify a rollout date.

The potential update follows a series of design changes to Google Photos. Android Authority noted that the app’s revamped bottom bar widely reached Android devices in July. Last month, the outlet said it found evidence in the Photos app suggesting users might soon be able to reorder items in the Collections tab.

Android Authority did not name the exact versions where the feature appeared, and the report does not confirm when the feature will be made publicly available.
