Google Play Store Collections shortcut hit by blank-icon glitch on Pixel Launcher
Android Authority reports a visual glitch leaves the Play Store Collections shortcut icon blank on the stock Pixel Launcher.
Collections can be reached by long-pressing the Play Store app, where it appears as the last option in the pop-up menu. Normally, the option is accompanied by an icon in a circular enclosure. The reported bug leaves that space empty.
Google’s Pixel product support team recommends that affected users check for updates, clear the Pixel Launcher cache, or reboot into safe mode to see whether a third-party app is causing the problem, according to Android Authority.
Google introduced Collections about two years ago. The Play Store feature organizes apps by topic and highlights content recommended by apps. It is meant to help users discover new content or resume content already in progress from the home screen.
