Google says it fixed a Google Home playlist bug and has a Keep list fix on the way

Google says it has fixed a playlist playback bug and is rolling out a fix for Keep list additions on Google Home devices, per Android Authority.

The company responded to recent complaints on the r/googlehome subreddit about music playback. Users reported that asking for a specific playlist resulted in unrelated songs, albums, or playlists. Google's official Nest Community account said, "We fixed the issue that was causing the wrong playlists to play," and asked users to report back if the problem persisted. Google did not explain the cause. This incident comes a couple of months after YouTube Music playback issues affected Nest Hubs, Android Authority noted.

Separately, Google Home users have reported problems adding new items to their Google Keep lists. Android Authority said Google responded by referencing "UI issues" and indicated that a fix would be hitting devices within the next few days. In 2023, Google restricted third-party apps from modifying lists, but Keep lists were supposed to remain functional. Now, Gemini on Google Home devices has been unable to add to Keep lists meaningfully.

The tech outlet said it is awaiting confirmation from users that the playlist fix works, while the Keep list fix is still pending rollout.
