Google to Launch Play Fest on Oct. 13, Letting Users Trade Play Points for Prizes

Google Play Fest runs Oct. 13-19, 2026, combining deals and rewards for the first time, with sweepstakes prizes and extra points on purchases, according to Android Authority.

Users holding Google Play Points can redeem them for a chance to win prizes that include exclusive merchandise, premium tech gear and tickets to major global sporting events. Google describes the sweepstakes as the centerpiece of the promotion, with thousands of prizes available, according to the report.

Alongside the sweepstakes, Google is cutting prices on what Android Authority describes as some of its biggest apps, games, books and devices. Purchases made during the week earn more points than usual, and Play Pass subscribers receive double points plus six times the boosts. Book purchases carry the largest multiplier, earning up to fifteen times the points. Google also points to special promotions tied to the payment method a user chooses, naming Venmo as one example, and to exclusive offers on selected digital gift cards.

Play Points themselves can be exchanged for limited-edition tech products, Google merchandise and other items. As a user's Play Points level rises, Google says, premium prizes become available.

Users who do not want to spend points or make purchases can take part through leagues instead. Ranking on the leaderboard of the Angry Birds 2 league offers a chance at a prize, and Google says additional leagues, including Free Fire and 8 Ball Pool, will open during the promotion. The event also lets participants boost the number of Play Points they earn and compete on leaderboards.

Android Authority published its account of the promotion on October 1, 2026. The report did not specify the value or quantity of individual prizes, the countries where Play Fest will run, or how many entries a given number of Play Points provides.
