Google Wallet’s colorful full-screen redesign begins rolling out

Google has started rolling out a redesigned Google Wallet interface that fills the screen with pass colors, according to Android Authority.

The redesign was first spotted by the publication months ago. When a user opens a pass, the pass color now fills the entire screen, and UI elements within the pass receive the same tint, creating a more unified look.

The app includes an option to “Switch to previous view” for users who prefer the older look, but Android Authority expects the option will likely be removed in future versions.

Because the rollout is server-side, not all users will see it immediately even if they have installed the update. Android Authority said it checked several test devices and only a couple displayed the new UI.
