Googlebook pre-orders sell out on Google's US store days after opening

Best Buy still has Googlebooks available to pre-order ahead of their October 4 release. Android Authority reported that a Reddit user noticed the shortage after checking the Google Store several times and finding every listed model sold out. Other users in the same thread reported the same result, with several saying they switched to Best Buy and successfully placed an order.

The Googlebook family starts at $899. Android Authority noted that the quick sellout could point either to stronger-than-expected demand or to limited initial inventory from Google, which opened pre-orders only days earlier.
