Govee unveils AI-powered mood-responsive ceiling light and three other smart lights at IFA 2026

According to Android Authority, Govee launched four smart lights including an industry-first AI-powered mood-responsive ceiling light.

The Sky Ceiling Light is powered by the AI Lighting Bot 2.0, which Govee says uses moods and daily needs to create personalized lighting scenes. The ceiling light also incorporates the company’s Vitality Spectrum technology, which delivers a 478nm sky-blue wavelength to help maintain alertness when natural daylight is limited, and a NaturalTone Algorithm designed to provide accurate whites across a 1,000K–10,000K range. It supports Matter, features DaySync for automatic adjustments based on time and weather, and carries TÜV Rheinland certification for flicker-free and low-glare performance.

Govee also introduced two new strip lights. The COB Strip Light 2 provides spot-free illumination and uses AI to power lighting scenes. The flagship COB Strip Light 2 Pro adds the AI Lighting Bot 2.0 for scenes created through voice or text prompts. It uses a triple-layer groove design with 1,344 LEDs and 16 ICs per meter, plus Govee’s LuminBlend Plus color engine for an ultrawide 1,000K–10,000K temperature range.

The fourth product is the Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro. Govee claims these outdoor lights feature an industry-first dual-layer illumination architecture that integrates two independently controlled IC chips in each light head, allowing the upper and lower light zones to display different colors and effects simultaneously.

Availability starts this month. The Sky Ceiling Light, COB Strip Light 2, and COB Strip Light 2 Pro are scheduled for September 4 on Govee.com and Amazon, priced $399.99 (€399), $99.99 (€119.99), and $169.99 (€179.99), respectively. The Permanent Outdoor Lights 2 Pro will be available September 7 in the US only, for $499.99 with a 100-foot set or $799.99 with a 200-foot set.
