The video, which "entirely" features footage captured from the PlayStation 5 version of the game, had already appeared on YouTube in creator reaction videos before the studio's official upload. The Verge describes the preview as focusing more on atmosphere, protagonists Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, and locations than on specific game mechanics, while including brief segments of playable shootouts, police car chases, basketball shooting, and scuba diving.

Other outlets that received early previews from Rockstar have reported additional gameplay details not included in the video, according to The Verge. Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19 with a starting price of $79.99.
