Hangzhou Service Consumption Season Opens With Alipay Tap, AI Lottery
Hangzhou service consumption season opens with Alipay Tap, AI lottery and vouchers through Oct. 7.
The centerpiece interactive installation uses interactive lighting meant to represent the city’s small shops and consumption arteries, lighting up Hangzhou’s street-level vitality at a city landmark. Visitors can check in at the installation and tap the interactive area with their phones to join a lottery. Each time 100 people successfully light up the installation, an interactive lottery is triggered automatically. Prizes include room and afternoon tea vouchers for the InterContinental Hangzhou International Conference Center, 99-yuan no-threshold red packets, Heytea vouchers, Tianmuli Art Museum tickets and Muli Cinema tickets, according to Leiphone.
Merchants in the Tianmuli International Block, including Nansong Huji, Ganbian Ji, Wenkelong chain stores, Shancheng Hanhan and Fanghuichuntang’s Chengxi branch, have joined the service consumption season, Leiphone reported.
Under the “Light Up Hangzhou, Tap into Good Luck” theme, the campaign is issuing million-yuan-scale consumption vouchers from Sept. 21 to Oct. 7, covering food, drinks, entertainment and shopping. Alipay’s Tap uses city landmarks, business districts and festival dates for lightweight, digital and boundary-free promotional activities intended to add momentum to urban consumption, according to the report.
A person in charge of Alipay’s Tap said the campaign is tied to cultural tourism consumption during Hangzhou’s Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays. The official said digital technology is being used to support consumption, offer residents and tourists a range of cultural tourism experiences and activate holiday spending.
