HBO Max to Launch 'The Flores Massacre' on October 22
HBO Max premieres 'The Flores Massacre' Oct. 22 in the U.S. and Australia; UK and Canada dates are unset.
The series examines the fire that killed Bagnato’s family and the events attributed to Fructuoso Álvarez González, a former business partner of Bagnato’s father. According to TechRadar, González carried out a psychotic campaign of revenge and extortion. He was sent to prison but later released, after which he set about tormenting the survivor he had failed to reach in the first attack. Bagnato, then a teenager, walked away from the fire and later told what happened.
HBO Max will make all three episodes available at launch, TechRadar reported. In the U.S., the docuseries will stream on HBO Max, which can also be added to YouTube TV. TechRadar said YouTube TV offers new subscribers a five-day free trial and that current plans allow customers to add HBO Max, giving trial users a way to watch all three episodes without charge during the trial period.
For viewers outside their home market, TechRadar recommends using a VPN to make a device appear to be in the country where the streaming account is based. The report names NordVPN as its preferred service and says such tools can unlock usual streaming subscriptions while traveling. It also notes that VPN services should be used for legal purposes.
Release plans remain limited outside the two launch markets. TechRadar reported that no UK release plan has been announced, though it expects the series eventually to land on Sky and NOW, as most HBO content does. In Canada, no viewing route has been confirmed; Crave is the usual home for HBO content there, with prices starting at CA$11.99 a month or CA$119.99 a year, and the report expects the docuseries to arrive eventually.
In Australia, HBO Max will carry the series from October 22, with prices starting from $11.99 a month, according to TechRadar. The report said viewers outside Australia can use a VPN to access HBO Max as they would at home. The docuseries is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, October 22 in the U.S. and Australia.
