Headphones and Earbuds From Apple, Bose and Sony Fall to Low Prices During Amazon's October Prime Sale

Amazon's October Prime Big Deal Days cut headphones and earbuds from Apple, Bose, Sony and Beats to or near record-low prices.

The Verge reported that some Amazon offers require a Prime subscription but that many are open to any shopper, and that other retailers have joined the sale. The publication said it is continuing to update its full list of deals from the event.

Nothing's first over-ear model, the Nothing Headphone 1, is down from $299 to $189 at Amazon and $199 from Nothing itself. It carries a retro transparent design, active noise cancellation, spatial audio with head tracking, plush ear pads and a paddle button for controlling playback. Nothing's Ear 3A earbuds, listed at $99, are $79 at Amazon, Walmart and Nothing, which The Verge described as their lowest price to date.

Apple's AirPods Pro 3 are $179, down from $249, at Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy. The third-generation model has a redesigned shape for a better fit, stronger noise cancellation, improved bass and heart-rate sensors. The second-generation AirPods Max over-ear headset is $429 at Amazon and Best Buy, reduced from $549; The Verge said the updated model delivers strong sound and noise cancellation but carries over some usability problems from the first generation.

Beats products are also discounted. The Powerbeats Fit, a new version of the Fit Pro earbuds, is $159.95 at Amazon and B&H Photo and $159.99 at Best Buy, down from $199.99, with a redesigned wing tip that Beats says is 20 percent more flexible and a smaller case. The Powerbeats Pro 2 is $179.95 at Amazon in a bundle that includes two years of AppleCare+, down from $278.99, and $179.95 at Walmart from $249; it offers active noise cancellation, IPX4 water resistance and heart-rate monitoring. The over-ear Beats Studio Pro is $149.95 at Amazon, $149.99 at Best Buy and $119 at Walmart, against a list price of $349.99, and adds noise cancellation with a transparency mode and lossless audio over USB-C.

Bose's QuietComfort Headphones Gen 2 are $319 at Amazon and Best Buy, reduced from $359, with what The Verge described as excellent noise cancellation, physical controls and a range of colors. The second-generation QuietComfort Ultra headphones are $369 at Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy, down from $449, and Bose is continuing to issue updates for them.

Sony's previous-generation WH-1000XM5 over-ear headphones are $198 at Amazon and Best Buy, down from $399.99, a price The Verge called a strong option below $200. The roundup also listed the newer WH-1000XM6, which costs about $50 more than its predecessor, but the price details for that model were not included in the available text.

Other discounted models include Anker's Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro at $135.99 from $169.99 at Amazon and Anker, which The Verge said has the best call quality of any earbuds it has tested and includes noise cancellation and a screen on the charging case; the JLab Go Air Pop at $19.88 at Walmart from $29.38, with eight hours of battery life, 32 hours with the case and a built-in USB-A charging plug; the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 at $179 at Amazon and $189 at the Google Store and Best Buy, down from $229, with a smaller, lighter build and longer battery life; the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni gaming headset at $344.99 in blue at Amazon and $359.99 at Best Buy, from $399.99, with multi-system support and hi-res audio; the Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 bone-conduction headphones at $119.95 at Amazon and $124.99 at Best Buy and REI, from $179.95; and the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 at $237 at Best Buy from $279, built for side sleepers with a private alarm and 14 hours of battery life.
