TechRadar says the Jarvis Bamboo combines a bamboo desktop with a powder-coated steel frame, has a 350-pound lifting capacity, adjusts at up to 1.5 inches per second, operates below 50 decibels and carries a seven-year frame warranty. The review quoted TechRadar expert Collin, who called it “a solid all-around offering with an impressive lifting capacity” and said it works well in both small spaces and large open offices because it can be customized.

TechRadar notes that at $993.75 the discount amounts to $331.25 off the original price. However, it also points out that other retailers have sometimes sold the same desk for as low as $881, so the current deal is not the lowest seen. The desk remains a nearly $1,000 purchase even with the sale, and less expensive electric standing desks are available, but the premium buys higher-grade materials, lifting capacity and finish.

Buyers who spend most of the workday in one position may not get full value from the electric height adjustment, TechRadar suggests, while those with multi-monitor setups could benefit from the 350-pound capacity and four programmable height presets. The warranty varies by component: the desktop is covered for five years, the frame and motors for seven years, but the powered grommet and surge protector are covered for only one year.
