HONOR Magic 9 leak points to 500mm teleconverter lens with 20.8x zoom
A leak says HONOR Magic 9 could support a 500mm teleconverter lens for about 20.8x zoom.
If correct, the HONOR accessory would surpass the vivo X300 Ultra's 400mm teleconverter, which is equivalent to about 16.6x zoom. Android Authority noted that vivo started the escalation with the X200 Ultra's 200mm lens, offering around 8x zoom, before moving to 400mm on the X300 Ultra. Android Authority also said the 400mm lens on the X300 Ultra had let its reviewers take remarkable photos, and that a HONOR 500mm lens paired with a 200MP telephoto camera could potentially allow 1,000mm, or about 41.6x, lossless-resolution zoom.
The publication raised caveats about the 500mm lens, predicting that it could be extremely bulky and require a minimum focusing distance of several meters, so it might not offer a versatile multi-camera experience. Other HONOR Magic 9 series features mentioned in the leak include a camera grip, a square front camera, a built-in cooling fan, dual 200MP ARRI-branded cameras, and an approximately 8,000mAh battery with a small screen. HONOR has not confirmed these specifications.
