Hoto's New Cordless Soldering Iron Heats Up in Three Seconds

Hoto has introduced its first cordless soldering iron, the I-A06, which heats to over 200°C in about three seconds and is part of its modular Snapbloq toolkit line.

The full kit version of the soldering iron is available starting today for $99.99 and includes a C245 knife tip plus additional tips that can be used for other tasks such as wood burning. The tool alone is available for $79.99.

The soldering iron is noticeably thicker than alternatives like iFixit's FixHub Smart Soldering Iron or Pine 64's Pinecil because it houses a rechargeable 2,000mAh battery. Its output power maxes out at 60W when used cordless, but can be increased to up to 140W when plugged into a power source, so users do not sacrifice functionality for the convenience of a battery. The carrying case also includes a pop-up stand to hold the tool while the tip is hot.
