HP OfficeJet Pro 8125 All-in-One Printer Falls to $100 at Amazon

Amazon is selling HP's OfficeJet Pro 8125 wireless all-in-one printer for $100, down from $180, with Walmart matching that price. The cartridge-based inkjet prints, scans and copies with an automatic document feeder and duplex printing, and ships with a three-month Instant Ink trial.

The 8125 is a cartridge-based inkjet aimed at home offices and covers printing, scanning and copying. It includes an automatic document feeder for multi-page scans and automatic two-sided printing, so pages do not have to be flipped by hand. Wireless setup runs through the HP Smart app, and HP bundles AI-enabled features for tasks such as mobile scanning and print management. A three-month Instant Ink trial is included in the box.

TechRadar describes the current discount as the lowest price it has recorded for this printer, after a drop to $120 in August. The publication characterizes the cut as a genuine markdown rather than a temporary reduction from an inflated list price, and notes the OfficeJet Pro line's long run in HP's lineup as context for the model's standing.

On the subscription side, TechRadar frames the three-month Instant Ink trial as a low-risk way for buyers to judge whether HP's subscription ink model saves money for their printing habits before deciding to continue it or return to buying cartridges.

TechRadar recommends the 8125 for buyers who want a dependable home-office all-in-one, who print double-sided documents often and want duplexing handled automatically, or who want to try Instant Ink before committing to a subscription. It advises against the model for users who print high volumes of photos and want a dedicated photo printer, who would rather avoid cartridge-based ink costs over the long term, or who want a unit the publication has already tested hands-on.

The recommendation rests on the printer's specifications and its price rather than on hands-on testing, TechRadar said. The same outlet has previously covered the OfficeJet Pro line in its home-office printer coverage.
