HP OmniDesk Desktop With 20-Core Core Ultra 7 Drops to $1,398 at Best Buy
Best Buy has cut the HP OmniDesk desktop to $1,398 from $1,499, a $101 saving. The dark-wood machine pairs a 20-core Intel Core Ultra 7 265 with 32GB of DDR5-5600 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, but relies on integrated graphics rather than a discrete GPU.
The processor boosts to 5.3GHz and carries 30MB of L3 cache, which TechRadar describes as enough for demanding workloads. Buyers can expand memory to 64GB and add storage through two M.2 slots. The desktop ships with ten USB ports, split between eight USB-A and two USB-C connections, alongside HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth.
Graphics come from integrated Intel Graphics rather than a discrete card. TechRadar advises buyers who need GPU-heavy rendering and 3D work to look elsewhere, since those tasks benefit substantially from a dedicated graphics processor.
The $101 reduction is modest in percentage terms for a desktop in this price bracket. TechRadar notes that the same configuration sold at Best Buy for $930 earlier in the year, so the current price is not the lowest it has been.
On design, TechRadar says the dark wood finish gives the OmniDesk a distinctive look that fits home offices and living spaces, where it blends with furniture rather than standing out against it. The publication positions the machine for creatives and professionals who want processing power and memory without paying for a graphics card they do not need.
