HUAWEI Nova 16s and 16s Pro launch globally with 7,000mAh batteries and 200MP camera

Huawei unveiled the Nova 16s and 16s Pro at IFA 2026, featuring 7,000mAh batteries, bright OLED displays, and a 200MP camera on the Pro model.

The Nova 16s is the more affordable model. It features a 6.68-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 5,500 nits of peak brightness, along with a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.3x optical zoom, and a 50MP selfie camera. The phone runs on the Kirin 8020 with 5G, packs a 7,000mAh battery with 100W charging, and offers 256GB or 512GB of storage.

The Nova 16s Pro upgrades the screen to a larger 6.84-inch LTPO OLED with adaptive refresh and 6,000 nits peak brightness. Its camera system includes a 200MP main shooter with OIS, a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.7x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP portrait camera on the front. The Pro is powered by the Kirin 9010S and also features a 7,000mAh battery, aerospace-grade aluminum frame, Kunlun Glass, and stereo speakers.

Both phones run EMUI 16 based on Android 16. The Nova 16s starts at €599 ($695) for 12GB/256GB, and the Nova 16s Pro starts at €749 ($869). Huawei said availability will vary by market.
