Huawei Wireless Unveils Full-Series Products for Next-Generation Communications Network
Huawei Wireless launched VitaAAU, GigaGreen Plus and UBBPi products in Shanghai, targeting ubiquitous experience, energy efficiency and spectrum efficiency for next-generation networks.
Huawei said the work targets three areas: ubiquitous experience, simplified green networks and ultimate spectrum efficiency. The company said intelligent terminals and services are expanding mobile connections from people to people, things and intelligence, while uplink capacity is becoming more important for intelligent services and new applications require stable latency and high reliability.
For coverage, Huawei introduced RetinaMIMO, which it said reconstructs RF link topology through a Retina scanning system and changes the antenna array architecture. Based on the technology, VitaAAU provides about 30% higher coverage than the industry's 1024-element solution and aligns U6GHz coverage with C-Band in horizontal and vertical directions, according to the company. VitaAAU has started commercial deployment in the United Arab Emirates and other markets, supporting peak downlink experience above 10 Gbps.
For energy, Huawei introduced an EP power amplifier architecture using new materials and processes, and an industry-first multimode dielectric filter. Applied to VitaAAU, the design enables a 1.5-meter simplified antenna and what Huawei calls "0 Bit 0 Watt 0 Loss" energy saving. The same innovations are used in the GigaGreen Plus series, which Huawei said reduces volume, weight and energy consumption.
For spectrum efficiency, Huawei said it applied the time-scaling concept of the Tao (τ) law to base station design. Its OSCAR solution enables dynamic scheduling of resources, while a self-developed low-latency bus and high-speed connectors support real-time data exchange. The new UBBPi series delivers 1.3 times the average experience and about 40% energy saving, Huawei said.
Huawei also presented RANSpirit, which uses a communications large model and digital twin technology for single-domain autonomy. RANSpirit has been deployed in more than 25 large-scale networks, covering over 1.2 million cells and supporting more than 2,000 engineers, according to the company. Huawei said it is working with partners on standards, open-source communities and industry alliances, including TMF's A2A-T standard, agent components contributed to the Linux Foundation and the GSMA industry platform. Chen Youxing, chief engineer of the intelligent network business unit at AsiaInfo, shared OpenAN ecosystem practices at the event. Fang said Huawei will continue dual-wheel innovation and work with global partners to expand the OpenAN ecosystem.
