iOS 27 Adds iPhone Duo-Specific Focus Mode Toggle on Lock Screen

Apple has adapted iOS 27 for the iPhone Duo, adding a lock-screen Focus mode toggle, according to 9to5Mac.

The new control appears only when a Focus mode is enabled. It lets a user turn the mode off from the lock screen, and after doing so the same mode can be turned back on. According to 9to5Mac, this could be useful when leaving a meeting and canceling Do Not Disturb without unlocking or opening the device.

The Focus toggle is the latest example of how the iPhone Duo's unusual form factor has led Apple to adjust iOS 27. The most obvious software adaptation is the way the outer display defocuses and effectively becomes transparent when the iPhone Duo is opened. The dock is also placed on the right-hand side of the outer display instead of at the bottom of the screen.

Pdfu has revealed other unannounced features in addition to the Focus mode control. These include StandBy views in the iPhone Duo and HomePad, as well as color options for the HomePad. 9to5Mac did not say when the iPhone Duo or these features would be released.
