iPhone Duo gains WeChat tablet login for simultaneous phone and computer use
ifanr says iPhone Duo now supports WeChat tablet login, allowing simultaneous use on another phone and a computer.
The change follows a compatibility test ifanr described as having taken place a day earlier. At that point, WeChat 8.0.80 supported left-and-right split-screen display on the Duo’s inner screen, but the app had not yet provided an entry for simultaneous login. With the new button, a Duo user can log in to the same WeChat account on another phone at the same time, the report said.
ifanr also said the “tablet login” label on the iPhone Duo is not worded in exactly the same way as the equivalent option on the iPad. The report described the addition as an “epic upgrade” for dual-device owners who want to use a slab phone alongside the Duo for imaging, and said users who had hesitated to buy the Duo because they could not log in to WeChat on two devices at once can now consider it. The report said dual-device users no longer have to choose between a slab phone and a foldable screen for WeChat.
