iRobot launches its most powerful Roomba yet at IFA 2026
iRobot unveiled two new Roombas at IFA 2026, including the $1,199 Max 875 Combo it calls its most powerful robot ever, featuring a new carpet-sealing suction system.
The SealForce system uses a skirt that lowers from the robot's chassis and forms a tight seal against carpet fibers, giving the device a suction force of 35,000 Pascals, the highest iRobot has achieved. The company says this is enough to pull embedded dirt and debris from carpets.
The Max 875 Combo also introduces ThermaMist Technology, which sprays heated mist continuously while mopping to soften dried stains. Its PowerSpin Max Roller Mop applies heated water at a roller speed of 300 RPM and 18 Newtons of downward pressure to scrub floors. The robot can automatically detect carpets, raise its mop, and lower a shield to keep rugs dry.
The Roomba Plus 678 Combo, meanwhile, features SprayForce AI pretreatment that uses high-pressure spray to break down dirt before mopping.
Both models are now available for pre-order on iRobot's website, with shipments expected to begin in two weeks. According to the report, retail availability across North America will follow later this month.
