The speaker has a very large form factor, standing 41.4 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. It includes wheels and a handle to move it. JBL says the audio setup uses dual pro-grade PEN tweeters, dual five-inch mid-range drivers and dual 10-inch woofers. An AI Sound Boost feature is claimed to deliver detail and clarity with low distortion at every volume.

The PartyBox Ultimate 2 also has a built-in light show. Engadget reports the lighting uses ripple-wave effects that move across the full front panel, along with multi-layer effects for depth and motion and floor projection to push visuals into the room.

A top-panel touch control, described as a first for PartyBox speakers, handles audio controls and EasySing AI Vocal Removal for karaoke and party games. For TV karaoke, the speaker has an optical input, and it includes an XLR line-in port for DJ equipment. It supports lossless USB-C audio playback, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE audio and Auracast. AirPlay, Chromecast and Spotify Connect are also supported. The device has an IPX4 splash-proof rating, and Engadget says it offers Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 6.0 support.

Preorders include free shipping, according to Engadget, but JBL will charge for return shipping. The report notes the speaker weighs as much as a small refrigerator. No additional pricing, color or availability details were included in the report.
