Jura launches C9 bean-to-cup coffee machine with 60C ready-to-drink mode
Jura has launched the C9, a compact bean-to-cup espresso machine that brews a milder coffee at around 60C so it can be drunk immediately, TechRadar reports.
The C9 has a menu of 17 drinks. Its milder brew style is served at about 60C and uses a smaller dose of coffee grounds for a smoother, lighter taste. Beyond the standard menu, users can choose from seven grind sizes, three brewing strength options and three brewing temperatures.
Custom drinks can be created using the machine's 2.8-inch colour display or through Jura's JOE app, which also lets users brew drinks remotely. The C9 has a full-size brewing unit even though it is one of Jura's smallest coffee makers. It measures 10.2 x 12.8 x 17.2 inches, or 26 x 32.5 x 43.7 cm (W x H x D), and uses Jura's Pulse Extraction Process, or PEP, which aims to optimise the time the coffee grounds remain in contact with the water.
Visually, the C9 is very similar to the C8. It has a glossy black finish and a wave-patterned water tank and cup grille. Its front panel is curved like those of Jura's flagship models, including the Jura J10 that TechRadar tested last year and the Jura E10 that TechRadar says it will review in the coming weeks.
The C9 is available to buy now direct from Jura and from third-party stores for £895.
