KeyAlarm lets iPhone users turn key calendar events into alarms

According to 9to5Mac, indie app KeyAlarm uses keywords to automatically create alarms for important calendar events on iOS 26, with a free trial then $0.99 purchase.

KeyAlarm works with keywords, 9to5Mac reported. If a user sets the word “Dentist,” for example, every future calendar event with that word in its title will automatically get an alarm. Users can also specify how far in advance the alarm should go off to allow time for commuting. The app supports multiple alarms for the same event, such as one as a one-hour heads-up and another 15 minutes before the event.

According to 9to5Mac, users can enable alarm triggering for an entire calendar instead of setting it per event. Keyword-based triggering can also be applied on a per-calendar basis, rather than globally. These functions are made possible by the new AlarmKit framework in iOS 26.

KeyAlarm is available for free on the App Store for iPhones running iOS 26 and later. The app operates in a trial mode at first; after 30 days, users must purchase it for $0.99, 9to5Mac noted.
