KitchenAid Debuts Design Series Luminaire Stand Mixer With Illuminated Fluted Glass Bowl
KitchenAid launched the Design Series Luminaire Stand Mixer on September 15, a $699.99 model with a lit fluted glass bowl, sold direct from the company.
The bowl is made from hardened glass that the company says is tough enough for everyday baking as well as tasks such as tempering chocolate. The mixer ships with stainless steel accessories — a double flex-edge beater, dough hook, wire whip and flat beater — all of which are dishwasher-safe.
The mixer body comes in a new shade called Peppercorn Blue, which coordinates with Spearmint, the soft green the company has designated as its official color for 2026.
Alongside the mixer, KitchenAid is producing a limited run of 36-inch Luminaire Commercial-Style Ranges in Peppercorn Blue, with only five units to be made. Cookware in the same new color will also be sold for buyers who miss the range or do not need a new oven.
The Luminaire follows earlier entries in the Design Series, including the Evergreen model, which paired a matte green chassis with a walnut wood bowl. Where the Evergreen leaned on earthy, natural materials, the Luminaire uses glass and light for a more futuristic look.
The Design Series Luminaire Mixer is available from September 15 direct from KitchenAid for $699.99, about £520 or AU$980.
