Labor Day Sales Bring Deep Discounts on Samsung Galaxy S26 and Google Pixel 11: TechRadar

The report highlights that several retailers have launched promotional prices that rival or beat the initial offers from preorder periods. Samsung's official store is currently providing an upfront discount of up to $300 on the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, which is $100 more than the deal offered when the foldable was first available for preorder.

For the Google Pixel 11 series, Mint Mobile is offering $450 off across the range when customers purchase a device with a new plan. Unlike similar discounts from major carriers, this discount does not require a trade-in. In addition, the carrier includes a full year of unlimited data for $180, half the usual price.

Amazon's Labor Day sale features the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is marked down by 27 percent, bringing the price just $20 shy of the lowest-ever listing on the site. TechRadar noted that the device has not been that cheap on Amazon since a brief moment in June when it was offered at $933.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra also carries a promotion at Samsung's official store, with an upfront discount of $300 or trade-in credit of up to $720. All storage variants and colors are eligible, allowing customers to get the phone for as little as $1,049 upfront. For the wider Galaxy S26 series, Mint Mobile is offering a record-breaking $500 upfront discount, along with an additional trade-in credit of up to $400 and a half-price unlimited plan for a year.

Other deals mentioned include Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Fold 8 series, where trade-in rebates reach up to $800 on the Fold 8 and $400 on the Flip 8. Without a trade-in, buyers can receive flat discounts of $300 on the Fold 8 Ultra, $200 on the Fold 8, and $150 on the Flip 8, plus bundle discounts of up to 15 percent on accessories.

TechRadar noted that Labor Day promotions are usually associated with grills and appliances, not phones, and the timing is awkward as Apple typically debuts new iPhones in September. The publication focused on Android devices this week, as preorders for the iPhone 18 (or a similar device) could begin later in the week.
